Down With the Sickness

Sorry I haven't been here in a while. I've been really busy! Okay, well, C.A.C.C. is doing really good in basketball!

Girls JV: 5-2 (They've played one more game than us)
Boys JV: 7-0 (They've played one more game than us)
Girls Varsity: 6-0
Boys Varsity: 6-0

Well, I'm done! You know the drill:

What I'm listening to: "Jamie's Cryin'!" by Van Halen

What I'm reading: The Dashwood Sisters' Secrets of Love by Rosie Rushton

What I'm thinking: I really need to dye my hair!

Fight For Something

You know what's weird? Girls fighting over boys. There are like thousands of boys out there and everyone's fighting over ONE guy and then once you have him, you don't want him. People are out there fighting FOR food, and respect, and rights. And then here, where we have a lot of things others don't have, girls are fighting OVER boys. It's not like they're fighting FOR a guy who they believe did something awesome or, you know, found a cure for cancer. No. They're fighting over a two week period of drama. And in the end they won't be able to remember why the wanted him in the first place. They'll go on to the next one and it's like a vicious cycle and pretty soon you'll be back to the first guy you fought over. Hopefully he'll have more sense this time than to let you fight over him. Oh, by the way, the word "catfight" is so insulting! I promise, we aren't gonna find a tub of pudding, have a pillow fight, and then make out! So, yeah, get over it! Anyway, my mom redid my room and I love it it's really cool and I'm pretty excited about it.

If your parents are divorced, you know how it feels. You would give anything (yes, even all my Coach and Dooney & Bourke bags) to be able to seem them in love again. Even if it was just for one day. I mean, yeah, it's better they don't fight and argue about what kind of bread to buy (I know, but it happens) or which kind of milk made me sick. And then maybe even if they just reassured me it wasn't my fault. I don't know. I probably sound like such a girl! Anyway you know the drill:

What I'm listening to: "The Night the Lights Went Out in NYC" by The Ataris

What I'm reading: The Truth About Diamonds by Nicole Richie.

What I'm thinking: Why do people have to scream?

Fighting For Your Life

Hey, okay, there was a shooting today at the local high school! Yeah! I was shocked too! And the kid who shot the teachers used to go to my church. I know! What the crap?! And I just found out one of the people died from the shooting. Is this world screwed up or what? A kid can actually walk into a school with a gun and shoot a principle! Yeah, there are no other suspects. You know there were a lot more people involved. Okay, here's the deal: I can't say what I want out loud so I put it on here! So, uh, here is the crap y'all love!

What I'm listening to: "Hung Up" by Madonna (how cheesy, right?! Hey, it's got a good beat.)

What I'm reading: "The Ruling Class"

What I'm thinking: Why can't people just forget the past and focus on the future?
